Location :
Tallahassee, FL
Building Area :

Project Cost : $
45,000,000

Project Overview

The Waller Park Capitol Improvements project revitalized the west grounds of Florida’s State Capitol, creating a more welcoming, accessible, and inspiring public space. The design highlighted the Capitol as both a place of governance and a reflection of Florida’s culture, arts, technology, industry, and education. New pathways, lighting, and architectural elements improve circulation and established an inviting arrival experience for visitors.

The work also delivered major infrastructure upgrades, including electrical design for a multi‑level exterior plaza, modern pedestrian and accent lighting, energy‑efficient lighting automation, and MEP systems supporting two new elevators. Additional improvements included new power distribution for Knott Plaza lighting, an updated video surveillance system, replacement of the decorative fountain’s piping and pump, and refreshed lighting in the parking garage and service entrance.

Together, these enhancements elevated both the function and character of this high‑profile civic space, achieved through close coordination to meet aesthetic goals while strengthening safety and security.
