This project replaced the existing cooling towers, including the demolition of two outdated towers, associated piping, pumps, and support structures at Fort Walton Beach High School. The design incorporated two new 300-ton cooling towers mounted on a new structural support system, three exterior manifolded condenser water pumps, and updated piping connecting to existing below-grade infrastructure. A bypass line was added for cold-weather operation, and advanced controls were implemented to modulate tower fans, coordinate with chillers, and manage isolation valves. Electrical improvements included new feeders from the main switchboard, a motor control center in the tower yard, and breakers for pumps, fans, and ancillary equipment. Existing equipment was removed or reclassified as spare, and the tower yard was secured with a new vinyl-coated chain link fence with privacy slats and access gates. TACO pumps and EVAPCO towers were used as the basis of design.
