Thanks to the 2019 Spring Fling sponsors and those that purchased raffle tickets, with H2Engineering’s match funds, a grand total of $6000 was raised for Trent’s Touch, a foundation that raises funds for families of children with cancer. It was Trent McElroy’s greatest wish to support children who are valiantly fighting the same battle he fought. Treatment for childhood cancer and related expenses cost $1 billion in the US in 2009 alone. These families are vulnerable to financial stress related to unplanned hospitalizations, out of pocket expenses, and changes in parental employment. With growing health care costs, resources to help ease the financial burden are limited. The funds raised will go directly to families in our community to help mitigate expenses.
