Project Name: Bay High School Building 1 Renovation

Description

H2Engineering was hired for the renovation and a small addition to Building 1 at Bay High School in Panama City, FL.  With the intent to restore the appearance of the building to its historical origin, Building 1 serves as the school’s administration and classroom building.  The newly renovated 29,114 SF building is designed with multiple entries/exits, various classrooms, reception areas, principal and vice principal’s offices, a health clinic, academic offices, meeting and conference rooms, lobbies, a registration office, and an AP guidance office, Athletic Director and secretary’s offices, SRO office, a resource room, and a media production room. The project is being constructed on a fully functioning occupied campus.

The scope included demolishing and replacing all hydronic piping insulation, and ductwork, removing all existing controls and HVAC equipment, and complying with OSHA and EPA regulations.  The scope also includes plumbing fixture updates, new sprinkler systems, and other interior component upgrades and modifications. The design meets current Florida Code requirements of 150 MPH wind speeds.
