Scott R. Drury, P.E., CxA, LEED AP BD+C
PrincipalScott became a Principal of the firm in 2021. Scott’s initiative, attention to detail, and affinity for solving technical problems made him a natural fit to quickly become the firm’s leader of the commissioning department. In addition to being a registered professional engineer (mechanical and fire protection), Scott is also a commissioning authority and a LEED accredited professional. His personal experience spans both design and commissioning projects for institutional, commercial, educational, and healthcare projects. These projects include both large and small-scale facilities, new construction, additions, renovations, and historic preservation. His experience with the design and testing of complex mechanical systems (including smoke control systems) make him a valued asset for any project.
Scott is an advocate for improving the engineering, commissioning, and construction industries through formal and informal education of owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and code officials. His personal goal is to exceed every expectation, ensure every project is a success, and to ‘raise the bar’ in the industry.
Who or what inspires you?
People who stand up for what is right even when it is difficult, and people who admit their mistakes and then do what it takes to correct them.
During your lifetime, what is the best advice you’ve ever received?
People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
If you could change or make an impact on the world, what would you do?
Be the change I want to see in the world… one person at a time. Love my enemies. Make those who think their lives are insignificant know they are significant.
