H2Engineering provided MEPF and construction administration on the 10,000 SF one-story Wakulla Environmental Institute in Crawfordville, FL. Designed and built to achieve Net-Zero utility use, the facility serves as a demonstration center of the sustainable elements integrated into the structure for visitors. Among these elements are a roof-mounted solar photovoltaic collection system, electricity generating windmill, a net power metering system, LED lighting, a rain harvesting system and integrated gray water distribution system, solar domestic hot water heating, and a high-efficiency water source heat pump air conditioning system.
