H2Engineering was hired to provide full-service MEPF engineering, audio/visual and security systems design, telecommunications, life cycle cost analysis, construction administration, and commissioning services for a new school in Crescent City, Florida, a cutting-edge, 212,400 GSF junior-senior high school.
Designed to accommodate 1,300 students, the campus is being developed in carefully planned phases on the site of the existing school. To maintain uninterrupted daily operations, the project demanded precise coordination of utilities and technology systems, as well as the phased demolition of outdated facilities, all executed while keeping the current school fully operational.
Once complete, the campus will serve as a vibrant center for academic excellence and career-focused learning. The facility will include advanced classrooms and immersive, hands-on learning labs tailored to programs in automotive technology, construction, and agriculture. The school will also offer dedicated spaces for ROTC, performing arts studios for vocal and dance instruction, a strength training and conditioning area, and a full gymnasium with locker rooms. In addition to its academic and extracurricular spaces, the campus will feature a large dining and multi-purpose area, a commercial kitchen, administrative and support offices, flexible conference rooms, an innovative media center, and a health clinic integrated within the administration wing.
This forward-thinking project represents a significant investment in the future of education, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and environment they need to thrive in both college and career pathways.
