Meet H2Engineering's Leaders
Matthew T. Scaringe
Matt joined H2Engineering in 1994 and was appointed to the position of President in 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and is uniquely registered as a professional engineer in both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines. Based in Fort Walton Beach, Matt leads the design team responsible for projects in Northwest Florida. Throughout his tenure, he has overseen business development, engineering, project management, and client satisfaction, thereby significantly contributing to the company’s growth and success. Matt is committed to creating innovative and sustainable design solutions tailored to each client, leveraging his extensive expertise across various sectors, including education, municipal government, corrections, and healthcare. Matt exemplifies a steadfast commitment to excellence.
Ryan L. Chewning
After graduating from the University of South Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, Ryan joined H2Engineering and quickly became an essential part of our team. By 2007, his dedication and talent earned him a promotion to Vice President. In 2018, Ryan took on the challenge of opening our Gainesville, Florida office and now leads our Central Florida team with energetic, hands-on leadership. Ryan’s forward-thinking vision has driven us to continuously evaluate and improve every aspect of our company. His strategic leadership, commitment to quality, and exceptional customer service make H2Engineering YOUR FIRST CHOICE.
Scott T. Craig, Jr.
Scott began his journey with H2Engineering as an intern and joined the firm full-time after graduating from Florida State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In 2021, he became a Principal of the firm and is currently a leader for projects in the North Florida region. Scott has played a key role in the internal training and professional development of our team, significantly contributing to the company’s growth. As an engineer, he has honed his project management skills and developed a passion for complex renovation projects. Scott has successfully applied his problem-solving abilities to a wide range of projects, including higher education, K-12, correctional, judicial, law enforcement, and commercial office spaces.

Laura Williams
With 39 years of experience in the AEC industry, Laura brings a wealth of knowledge from working across all disciplines of architecture, engineering, and construction. She leverages this expertise to help H2Engineering forge new relationships and sustain long-term connections with clients. Recognizing that success in this industry hinges on a strong reputation and solid qualifications, she excels at showcasing and marketing our extensive portfolio, expertise, and innovative solutions. Laura’s innate ability to foster teamwork, creativity, and strategic thinking, combined with her resilience, discipline, and skill in navigating complex projects, makes her an invaluable asset to our team.
Jane Bodkin
Jane joined H2Engineering in 2019 and swiftly advanced to the role of Human Resources Manager & Office Administrator. She currently oversees accounting, human resources, recruiting, and benefits for the company. Jane’s organizational skills and ability to multi-task are her greatest strengths, given her many responsibilities at H2Engineering. She is passionate about her work and demonstrates compassion, empathy, and committed to the success of the firm.
